• What is a pocket listing? It is property that is "Off Market" or "Not On MLS", but very much available to be bought or sold. "Pocket" typically referring to being in the pocket of a licensed real estate agent, as opposed to listed on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

  So why did we create PocketListings.net, and who are we?

  We created PocketListings.net to empower real estate agents do more deals. It's that simple.

  "Johnny Pocket"

  I am Alexander Clark. I am the co-founder of PocketListings.net, and the original founder of two hugely successful real estate services in San Francisco that I have since put on hold (sfnewsletter...at one time distributed to over 20,000 readers), and theFrontSteps.com (400,000 unique visits annually).

  I live and learn in San Francisco, California. I love to travel (how could you not?), I am a dad of two crazily energetic boys, and I am the husband of one gorgeous wife. I love to ski, surf, snowboard, golf, hang out with my family, and create new technologies and websites. I'm an espresso snob (currently dripping Blue Bottle and Ritual Roasters into my veins), and I love myself some slim fit jeans. I'm not a fan of wearing a suit (I call it my Realtor uniform), and I've been known to cancel all of my appointments when the sun is out, the winds are offshore, and the surf is good. But I work hard in order to play hard, so I don't feel guilty if I do.

  I believe, without a shadow of a doubt, our industry is missing an important piece of the puzzle with off market property, not to mention the "social networking" aspect of selling real estate, and I think we have the concept to fill the void. I am determined to succeed at this venture and we are here for you. This site is yours. Use it everyday, tell your colleagues, and please don't ever hesitate to give us feedback. We have the freedom to create a product that is right for you, and with your help, we'll do just that.

  I have a vision for PocketListings.net and I hope it all becomes a reality, and I hope our site ultimately increases the number of transactions ALL real estate agents are able to do. I have done several "off market" deals myself, and I know I'm not alone, so please join me on this ride.

  "Code Warrior"

  This is FC, my co-founder, who prefers to remain anonymous for now. He doesn't come out except to swim, bike, run. All he does is code, code, code and code some more. He built the majority of what you see here. He had the vision to convince me (Alex) to embark on this journey. He is a great guy, and you'll meet him soon enough.
